Working on buildings with such character is always a treat. This property had a beam that was showing signs of deterioration (rot) and needed replacing to ensure structural integrity. We carefully sourced a section of timber from the Kennet & Avon Canal to match the existing beams, this new piece worked out to be a perfect match with some skilful adjustments in regards to shaping.
To colour match we applied a coat of Zinsser, Allcoat which contains a mould inhibitor to protect against mould and fungal growth. This paint lasts up to 15 years! This new lick of paint will take a short while to wear in to match his wooden neighbours. Another satisfying job completed for a repeat customer who was very happy with the outcome.
